Transform - Slay dragons

Which mythical creatures live in your enterprise? Seriously, what processes, procedures and protocols do you tell people outside of your organization about that make them grin or laugh out loud? Why are these still in place? What could you do about them? If you could get rid of these sacred cows, what would it do for you? What about the team? Is your organization ready for this kind of transformation? If you were to slay the fiercest dragon in your realm, how would that change your world? Is it worth the risk? Legends live everything large, where some are warranted and some, not so much. A former CTO was thought to be a tyrant in the home office, but I had the good fortune of working in a satellite office, and whenever I was in town, he would make time to see me. When a meeting had stalled, I simply asked to be excused so I could go talk to the CTO. A worried silence fell over the room; apparently the CTO did not like to be interrupted. But no one ever said I was smart, so off I went, talked to him briefly and got the answers I needed. On my way out, he added that if anyone asked if he yelled about the interruption, I was to say yes! Which legends exist about you? Are they good or bad? Are you comfortable with them? Would you want your family to know about them? If not, why not change them? We are talking about transformations here, and the times of the greatest change are also the times of greatest possibilities.
