Innovate - If truly innovative, it is not going to go right the first time
You no longer have to aim for perfection, but rather experiment, try stuff and get involved. No, not on your mission-critical stuff, but what little things can you afford to let go wrong? What lessons can you learn? And really, what is the worst that can happen? You need to iterate through ideas; very rarely do people get it right the first time. Do you think the latest sport prodigy just picked up a bat, racket or ball, and performed at an elite level? Of course not; it took years of practice! So why are you not doing the same? Practice doing something new. Practice failing forward. Sure, you have a vision in mind; know where you want to be in three, five, and ten years from now; but remember, every journey starts with a single step, so stop procrastinating or thinking the worst, start doing and learning and by iteration you will develop more than you can imagine possible today.
