Nourish Relationships - Essential to preserve our future economically
When building relationships and partnerships, you should never be afraid to tell your customer “no” if their requests do not align with your strategy. You always need to be looking out for your future economic viability, and granting every customer request will rarely meet that goal. A true partnership is one where both parties benefit, and can only truly be cemented over time. But what kind of partner are you if you are not going to be around in six to twelve months? It can be difficult to say “no,” but you have to remember the first rule of saving a drowning man; make sure they do not take you down with them. When projects are a good fit, then quickly say “yes” and get to work; but if you have doubts, then saying “no” is the correct, responsible thing to do - for you, your team and ultimately your customer.
