Innovate - Consider all possibilities
Being innovative involves considering all the possibilities; including - in fact, especially - the crazy ones. Innovation will never happen in baby steps; it's not the nature of the beast. You have to allow people to explore the zany, off-beat and almost insane ideas, as you never know how others in the group will be stimulated by an off-the-wall idea. It also underlines that you trust your group, and in turn they trust you. So next time you are considering a problem or project, do not jump to conclusions; spend a little time up front not just to take the path of least resistance, but rather to dive into the new, creative and unusual ideas, and consider what is possible.
