Awareness of Pitfalls - Abuse of power
No one is irreplaceable. Sure, those you work with directly may be negatively impacted for the short term, but over the long haul no one is irreplaceable, so try to be humble and remember that. Be open to the challenges of others; you are looking to create an environment of trust and mutual respect, therefore you need to be able to accept that your team will challenge your authority. Do not let titles get in the way of new ideas; be open to them. Show your team that you are flexible and have not become rigid - that you are a resource to them for projects and value their collaborative efforts. By embracing what is different, accepting challenges and changes, you can ensure you remain rooted in what is good for the customer, your team and your organization before focusing on what is good for you.
